When the debt is not paid by the payment date or by the end of the grace period.
A Debt Collector should be engaged as soon as an invoice becomes overdue and all reasonable attempts to recover the funds have been unsuccessful.
The short answer is no. However, we operate on a sliding scale commission—meaning the smaller the debt, the higher the commission. It’s important to assess whether pursuing the debt is financially worthwhile.
A debt can only be withdrawn if both the Client and Debt Collector mutually agree in writing. A Withdrawal Fee may apply (please refer to the Notice of Appointment).
Debt Collectors are restricted to a maximum of three contact attempts per week with the Debtor.
1️⃣ First Letter – Letter of Demand, followed by contact attempts via available details.
2️⃣ Second Letter – Legal Action Pending, followed by further contact attempts.
3️⃣ Third Letter – Final Warning: Legal Action, at which point the client must decide whether to proceed with legal action. Follow-up attempts continue as needed.
We provide regular updates and maintain open communication with our clients throughout the process.
Note: This is our standard process but can be adjusted to suit specific requirements.
To put it simply - No.
Yes, additional fees and charges apply for services such as business searches, Landgate searches, special mail, process serving, field calls, skip tracing, and legal action.
However, we will always seek client approval before proceeding with any additional costs.
We do not work on a success rate basis —and here’s why: debt recovery depends entirely on the Debtor's circumstances.
Every case is different. For example:
✅ A reputable business with cash flow issues – high chance of recovery
❌ A business going into administration – low chance of recovery
❌ A rogue business – low chance of recovery
✅ An individual concerned about their credit rating – high chance of recovery
There are many factors that influence the likelihood of recovery, making it impossible to guarantee a success rate.
The Debt Recovery Fee can only be recovered from the debtor if your Terms & Conditions explicitly state that it is recoverable. Additionally, these Terms & Conditions must be provided to the debtor before any work commences.
Yes, fees apply for the administrative work involved in managing payment plans.
